Photo Mechanic How I Cull Images!

So if y’all have been wondering how I use Photo Mechanic or what the heck word I even just typed & you got 17 minutes to spare…I did a video blog post on how I personally use it! I set out to do a “brief” 5 minute video & bam…17 minutes had passed! And I wasn’t redoing it! LOL What was old always becomes new again! I first did a video blog post 6 years ago when they started becoming popular! Now they’re back again! My personal goal for 2016 was to get back to doing them & help educate along the way…hopefully! If this post helps one person I’m happy! 😀 Please note that this is how I personally use it! I know there are so many other ways but this is what works most efficiently for how I do things!

Culling for some people is the dreaded part of the process! I used to be the same way until I learned about Photo Mechanic! It seriously can cut your editing time down by half! For portrait sessions I can usually have them culled in 15 minutes or less! For weddings, that used to take me 4+ hours to cull…I got it down to like 45 min to an hour tops depending on how many images I had to go through of my own & my 2nd shooters! It’s definitely a program I could not live without!

And hopefully I didn’t confuse anyone in the end with the whole renaming the folder piece! Sorry! That’s always the fun part doing videos on the fly!

For info on where to get Photo Mechanic click here! And if interested in an in person or online mentoring session feel free to email me or use the FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS link to your left! I love love meeting new people & helping them reach their goals!

Please leave a comment below if there is anything else you’d like to see me cover! I have a list of a few other topics I plan on covering too!
