Virginia Beach Powder Paint Gender Reveal It's a BOY!

This past weekend I shot a Virginia Beach powder paint gender reveal! Yep powder paint! Last month I got a text message from a dear friend of mine, Brina! Y’all might remember she was my very first 2nd shooter at weddings a long time ago. But even before then our friendship goes wayyyyyyy wayyyyyy back in the day! She always ran with the older crowd so we became friends when she was like 15 & I was like 19 or something! We worked together at the beach in the summer, drove Fast & Furious cars…yeah, told y’all we go wayyyyyyyy back! We have the kind of friendship where we won’t see each other for like a year but when we talk it’s like we just saw each other yesterday! Those are true friendships!

So when I got a text from her last month asking how things had been going it wasn’t out of the norm! Then she asked when I had a chance she needed to “acquire my services.” I didn’t think anything of it & was thinking she must just want a shoot of her & Jason! I texted to let her know how things were going on my end & was like “yeah, just let me know what shoot you want to do!” She came back with “uhhhh maternity!” Say WHATTTTTTT?! I totally was NOT expecting to hear that! She shocked me & that’s hard to do! LOL I think, I hope, I managed to get a CONGRATSSSSS!! in there! LOL

Then we got to work planning an announcement shoot! She was going a few weeks later to find out the gender of the baby & asked would I shoot a reveal party also. Y’all know I don’t do parties & she definitely knows I don’t do parties! But for a celebration like this for a friend absolutely! But I’m the annoying friend who’s all “I’m only doing it if you’re doing something awesome!” I’m not a “release balloons out of a box” or “bite into a piece of colored cake” kinda girl…neither is Sabrina, style wise! No offense to those folks who do those types of reveals, they’re just not my style! 😀 So I mentioned powder paint! And she ran with it!

Well seeing how she’s Ms. Impatient & couldn’t wait to find out the gender…annoucement shoot got nixed & reveal party got put in its place since they couldn’t hold out any longer! And of course it decided to turn frigid & snow the night before & was freezing ass cold! When it’s that cold my fingers literally lock up when I’m shooting & it hurts! So me & Amanda headed up to VA this past weekend to find out BEAU or BOW! I was 100% team BOY! My track record has been on point, minus like 2 babies! I was pretty confident in my gut feeling! Turns out most people there were team BOY too!

I did some of her & Jason beforehand before they got dirty! Then we came back & headed out to the beach for the big reveal! Where it was COOOOOOOOOLLLLLLD and super WINNNNNDYYYYYYY! But SO.MUCH.FUN! I am so blessed to be able to share in things like this with couples! I can’t wait to watch them become mom & dad!!!!!! Craziness my tiny lil always belching Sabrina is going to be a mama bear!! 😀

Her friends Kate & Jessica did such an AMAZING job of planning & organizing such an awesome party! This is going to be one spoiled loved on baby when he arrives!
